zoe - ok...you asked for it! I'm on maternity leave and wasn't planning on going back to work til January (although I was hoping to be able to do something part time in the evenings so Jonathan didn't have to go into nursery). We're a bit skint at the moment but not too bad...then my husband's (really good) job is now gone at the end of September as they're shutting the local office and just before holiday someone reversed into him and having just had a quote for the repair, we now think the insurance will be writing his car off. Although it's 10 years old it's a decent car and goes well. It's just rubbish timing rather than anything else. We're still very lucky apart from that....it just all seems to be happening at once! So it looks like it'll be back to work in October for me to a job I hate but now can't afford to give up. That's all!
OH home now...and little one going to be waking up soon for his tea! Back on the cleaning tomorrow!Jonathan Douglas born 20th January 2009 - 9lb 4oz

I've hung a bit of washing out and decluttered loads of that blooming bindweed from the front garden.
Seeing as I'm off work and here I'm going to see if I can get some people in to do some of the jobs that I'll never will get done now.
Resting again, then off to make tea in a mo.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Hanging my head in shame because I've just been reading other people's posts and realised that in reality, Steve's redundancy and a written off car aren't major problems at all when compared with the things some people are going through.
ETA See Zoe said something similar...

The train leaves here at 11.38 ...cheaper than going first thing in the morning and we will eat our lunch on the train. This will (a) pass the time (b) be exciting for the kids (c) save money! Muhahahaha
We'll arrive in the Smoke just 2 hours later. See we are staying East Endish (almost).

Hello everyone!
I'm in again this week, for my sins..... I've somehow managed to fill today, tomorrow and Wednesday up with visits/visitors :doh:so will have to fit things in and around.
I've also taken on the task of knitting DDs school cardigan...long story, but basically she has declared the ones my sis knitted "too itchy" and refuses to wear them. In fairness, they are a bit snug and as sis knits tightly I'm hoping they will relax in the wash (losing their itchiness as well....). OH is insistent that I buy the official school sweatshirt...and I will, once the office is open...
I've also been reading a book 'Time Management for Manic Mums' which is fantastic, and I'm already starting to get organised.
Anyway...here's my list for today:
Magnificent Monday ~ Living room, Hall, Stairs and Porch!
Level One
[STRIKE]Declutter all the floors[/STRIKE]
Tidy away the coats and bags and shoes etc
Level Two
Vacuum all the floors, shake the muck out of any mats
Dust and polish any electricals
[STRIKE]Wipe and wate and plants[/STRIKE]
Level Three
Check all those smoke alarms!
[STRIKE]straighten any books/CDs/DVDs etc on shelves[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Tidy the understair cupboard[/STRIKE]
Will catch up with the rest tomorrow, or whenever!
I hope everyone is doing OK - still don't have time to properly catch up with the thread!
Take care
D

Whoa STOP right there NOW. These are big issues in your life and they need dealing with, they are just as worthy of support as anyone elses.
My issue today was W chucking a 3rd toilet roll down the loo :rotfl: At the time I was so mad because he had been told twice before not to do that. Miss A tells me since that the last one at least was dropped by mistake but even so I was mad at the time.
Don't feel you can't post as your issue is not big enough, this is not a competition. Support is there for anyone that needs it.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0
