Diary to stop me going backwards!

Options
Hi all,

Just starting a new diary as although I managed to pay off my debts earlier this year, I've managed to let all my good habits slip. I've not dropped back into debt, but I'm bumping along the 'zero' line, and I'd like to start building up some savings.

I found keeping a diary on here really helped me reach my goals, so I'm starting up again.

So, back to quidco etc and maybe even a bit of matched betting (although I may need some hand-holding)

Feel free to add your comments along the way - here goes!!!

  • Wow - that was quick!! I was just trying to slip in quietly...

Congrats on working so hard on getting rid of your debt! Very impressed. I've not managed to keep up with your diary, but now I'm back in here I probably will!

  • I've just had a go on that quick credit checker - and come out with a feeble low score. Eek! I think it's because I have been late on a few payments to my 'work' amex charge card doh! That's down to getting behind on claiming expenses - got to change that situation.

So make that the first thing you commit to changing - right now. From today you will NOT be late on your payments! You can't afford to mess up your credit score long term, so make a note of today's score, and check it again in 6 months time, when you have had 6 months of prompt payments and being on top of things.

We don't want you becoming "sub prime" now, do we!?

  • Awwww, thanks hypno. I'm off now - battery about to expire, but I will be getting back into the MSE/DFW groove through the week

    Good night all!

Created a new Numbers spreadsheet just with direct debits so far. This popped into my inbox this morning, so I'll listen to it this lunchtime and report back...
