Good evening: get more quotes in, preferably from RGIs recommended to you by a source you trust and check the RGI's registration with Gas Safe Register. Compare the quotes like for like...I would expect an independent RGI would price this job with a better boiler much cheaper than BG. Many RGIs can offer a 5 year parts and labour warranty on their installations.

Btw ..the Junior is WB's cheapest boiler...their CDi is a superior product but not appreciably more expensive.

hi, thanks, i am getting a quote for the cdi.
also, does the piping need to be replaced?
i already have 10mm copper in place!

  • thats very expensive, I last year had a 30KW boiler Halstead, (5 year warranty A rated, LPG) 17 rad room stats, new radio control thermostats, and two rads installed, whole system flushed, a new ball valve in the loft, and finally the old flue hole was bricked up and plastered over. All cost £2400, Corgi registered engineer nr to Cambridge

if thats the BG quote, then you can half that by using a local CH plumber.
    esp in the NW.

    ps.
that boiler is only 850 quid.
4500 is a lot for six rads and some copper pipe!
    Get some gorm.
  • Shame you're not closer to notts. I could fit the same spec, but with a Viessmann Vitodens 30kw with 5 years parts and labour for £2500.

he could pay you to stay at the liverpool adelphi hotel, and still be cheaper than BG!
    Get some gorm.
