Those who can do, those who can't, come to me for lessons:cool:0 -
do they do credit checks? and what if the card gets lost?0
-
No, seeing as you're not applying for credit. And you report it to O2, just like you would any other credit/debit card0
-
Presume they dont credit check as my credit is so low its laughable, i have signed up for card as not only is it free its VISA i only have a basic bank account with SOLO card and would rather a VISA. Also i find it easier to budget, load card with pre set amount for shooping petrol etc at beginning of month and dont touch debit card again. Was using a card that charges fees etc so have swapped, have mobile and broadband with o2. Happy with service with these so cant imagine card will be any different. Website was running slow when i applied but presume this product may be popular?Proud to be dealing with my debtCCCS member, Debt free wannable nerd 1237Combined debt total=[STRIKE]sept 09 [/STRIKE][STRIKE]£5679.27[/STRIKE] Nov 09 £4599.46DFD [STRIKE]SEP [/STRIKE] OCT 2012:huh:0

I just found out about these cards a couple of days ago and as I have not long become Debt Free I have decided to apply as not everywhere online accepts Electron and can be quite frustrating having to ask to borrow someone elses card then get them the cash to repay them.
Think I may just use it for petrol money initially and see how I go from there.0 -
what do u mean by a card for stoozing???0
-
I wouldn't bother with this card. Mine won't work anywhere where a credit card isn't accepted, such as Aldi. Not only that, but it also gives warnings when withdrawing cash from ATMs that charges may apply. Customer service (or lack of) is useless. This card is a waste of time IMHO0

That would be a bit different than asking your CC company to BT from this card.
The fact that it is refused by Aldi (as they only take debit cards) and gives a warning in ATMs about possible fees suggests that it is seen by the "system" as a credit card rather than as a debit card so asking a CC provider to BT a ficticious balance from this card may work whereas trying to load it from a CC might not."A nation of plenty so concerned with gain" - Isley Brothers - Harvest for the World0 -
It seems the mystery continues, is this an electron card in disguise, a debit card in disguise, or a credit card in disguise. If places that only take debit cards are refusing it it would seem it does have a credit card BIN, but then may also still require full authorisation. It is a new hybrid.0
