Thanks everyone ..it was such a relief to get that news...one less battle..

I have had a great afternoon as Dt and I met up and spent 4 hours together...felt like I'd known her for years and we had a really good time and of course a long chin wag....She also happened to meet DH,DD1,DD2 and DS3 and we all think she's wonderful...nearly forgot about Tess the human dog who decided to sit on the couch with her and snuggle up with her...lol...we are not talking a pup here but a full grown Rottie...lol...
I also have a lovely bag of books here that she kindly brought for me ..so now don't even have to go to the library...
We had a walk to the pub ..so exercise..(lol) and we were all chatting and people watching but were very good as nobody drunk alcohol.
Then sadly it was time to go....
It was a lovely time and we will meet again when time allows....what a lovely warm hearted lady she is...thankyou for taking time to visit if you are reading xxx

I have many invites from other DFW people and intend to meet with you all in between hospital visits when mutually convenient.

So I've had my fun for today xxx

Hope everyone else has had a good day x

Well I have had a super afternoon with a very wonderful lady and her family including of course super dog Tess :T

As I said to Taxi today I feel that I know some of you on here very well indeed better than some of my "real" friends as we share such a lot and on such a regular basis. It was lovely to meet Taxi and for once she actually was very much like I had pictured. It was great to meet her family and I can confirm her OH is a real gem - what a lovely man. Her daughters are lovely and very funny together and I can see they care a lot for their mum. Sorry I didn't get to meet JJ - next time I hope. Great to hear the good news about the bone scan and Taxi looks very well.

Also went to the clinic thought I had only lost half a pound but on rechecking it is a 1Lb grrrrr to TOTM  but at least it is off and have hit the magic 1 stone mark so 1 down 5 to go - oops forgot I am on Taxi's thread will copy this and post it on my own sorry

Well done on the weight loss and that magic stone.
You'll definitely meet JJ next time as we'll have time to arrange it.
Glad to see you are back home safe and sound x
  • Just dropping by with random hugs and congrats on the Bone scan and lovely day xxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.

    Hi Taxi

Sounds like you and DT had a lovely day yesterday.:)

I know what you mean about feeling you have known people for years. Only the other day I was recalling a conversation I had with a work colleague, to my husband. I then said something like I hadn't seen her for weeks , my husband looked blank , then said OH I though you were talking about one of your friends who live in your computer,:rotfl::rotfl:. Shows how much I talk about you all;)

Hope you have a lovely day . Raining here:(
