Glad work was ok for you - it has been tipping down here all day too - can't believe it is nearly time for the illuminations again, that year has flown.
I still have a pile of 2p's that DS brought back with him after he decided the change macine was his favourite 'game'! xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Hi everyone...
Mum2one...she's pretty much sorted and little man is his cheeky loveable self...he starts school this week.
URG...you're welcome...lol
Penguin...your DS had the right idea...he won't ever lose on the change machine.
Typical, the weather was lovely when I was at work so it was quiet and then when I came home it really peed it down.
Tomorrow is my day off and I think I need it.
I've done all my banking stuff and reflecting on this month I'm quite happy with what we've achieved.....
I didn't get back into things properly until 15th of last month and in the last 16 days ...have manged to control the budget....£41.50 of those spends was dog food..so our groceries were really cheap as we are using stuff from freezers and cupboards....we have put money in savings and also paid more than £2000 off debt in the last 16 days......and managed a PAD of £10 on top...we have paid way more than is showing but because some of the bills have interest I am not altering figures for those until I receive the statements.....
So I feel quite proud of myself...I'm still not smoking...it's 8 weeks and a day now....
I still need to tackle my weight and do my accounts....two major issues that I have to deal with.
There is £130 on the way from quidco so that can go in the savings account towards the mortgage.
I now need to set targets for september....I think I will keep a grocery challenge as that really keeps me focussed and I'll carry on with a PAD to Virgin...and I will also try to make a large overpayment each month to Halifax and put as much as I can in savings....that's my plan for now anyway....0 -
57 days = £570 :j Well done
Debt busting is going great guns Taxi ---Im so happy for you:j0 -
Would've been good if I'd paid it all off debt..but only started that 10days ago...it soon mounts up though.0

Ah bless him, he'll be the envy of all the girls, and have the teacher eating out of his hand!
DD doesn't go back to school until next Tuesday.
Can't believe how well ur doing with the non-smoking, and the payments, put my money saving effort with internet very little. Rang AOL and told a white lie that BT had offered me internet at £9.99 pm, currently paying £29.99pm inc all landline calls, with the "we dont want to lose valuable customers blah blah... would you like £6.99 per month inc free calls"..........exactly the same as what I now, YES PLEASE.... xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Thats great news about AOL..Mum2one..well done..
I agree ..cos he's a right little charmer...it's funny everyone that meets him adores him...0 -
Ahh well 1st of the month today and another month of debtbusting to look forward to.
I can't wait for the statements to come in so I can update my totals..how sad am I?
Done all my banking and done my PAD.
I'm worried about EGG.I sent them a FP from Halifax AND A+L the other day to my savings and they are not showing yet. They were sent over the weekend and because it's the first time I've sent them FP I don't know whether I did them right.
I've set my GC at £300 this month ...this looks like a lot but if we need 2 bags of dog food that will be £83....so that's just over £200 for the month for other shopping that's for 3 adults.I'm hoping to come in way under that but seeing as I've never budgeted for shopping I've not got a clue of what we used to spend.
I intend to get the accounts done as well in the next week or so.
I don't have too much to do today but am really tired and have a bit of a cough and runny nose am really tired.
I will nip out and do the banking while DH is in bed..and then when he gets up he can go to the Halifax and get me £300 (he gets a pension from council) and that can go in the debt jar at home...that's 2 months worth..I pay this towards his halifax card or my barclays as I can pay both in cash over the counter....I need to wait for the next set of bills...I put the £60 tip in there and there's also some other money in there so am hoping to make a good overpayment when I get DDs board on the 10th or when the bill comes in.
Hope you all have a good day.0 -
Today seems to be dragging!!!!..Don't know why.
Had a walk earlier and did the banking..then popeed to LIdl but they didn't have what I wanted so had a walk to Aldi and got what I needed ...so £2.15 spent.
I've got braising steak in the slow cooker on medium setting but don't know how long it will take to cook as I usually cook it on low and overnight....
So I picked up a pack of wraps and if it isn't ready for tea then we'll have those stuffed with tuna and salad(that needs using up)...
The washing is just about to go in the dryer...(I hate towels dried on the line) and I'll put another load in and it can hung on the line if it isn't raining.
Still got to go to the Halifax when DH gets up.I can't hoover until then either.0 -
Evening all....
Managed to take the dogs for a long walk earlier when we went to the Halifax..so killed two birds with one stone.Got the hoovering done and stuff as well.
The braising steak wasn't ready so DH treated us to an indian..it was lovely for a change.
I've just done a lightspeed survey and have now sent £3 to paypal...it all mounts up...slowly but surely.
I tried to do that bingo last night but for some reason wouldn't take money off my card ..so don't know what the problem is there!!!
Checked through my accounts earlier and at last the FPs showed up on my EGG savings.0 -
Good news about the FP. Always worrying when payments don't show.
