HI Taxi
I echo the others about missing WW classes. You have to learn from your 'blips' and try to work out why it occurred. Mine is emotional eating at the moment. Although, I have upped my activity and I managed to lose 2lbs at weigh in tonight. This takes me back to my 10% goal which i have been hovering around recently.
All of your activity is great - it is such a help to the weight loss and releases good endorphins too. Are you still not smoking? How many days is that now? OH has managed 60 days which is brilliant. I too have stopped sneaking the odd cig again too which is great.
Better get back to the 'order of service'.

Taxi - you can do the weightwatchers thing - please don't let the little slip go any further - you need to go next week WHATEVER you have lost or not lost. I have every confidence in you - get the dog walked the wii fit out and the weight WILL drop. Little by little though - GO TAXI - GO TAXI. A little phrase of pot calling kettle comes to mind as I say those words of wisdom to you. My wii is getting cobwebs under the tv as I sit here typing LOL and I can't remember the last time I used my gym membership.... Milann creeps out to prompty give herself a kick up behind for buying gym membership she couldn't afford and NOT using it......
Cash figures are coming along nicely Taxi

Don't worry I'm definitely going to keep on with it....
This week has been really hard with stress with getting money together for end of month bills.:eek::eek::eek:
I'll take it as a valuable lesson learnt.0 -

Have just made myself a cup of tea ready for we rambling on here.
I have a few areas of life to sort out at the minute so that I don't feel as stessed at this time of the month. When I'm stressed it definitely affects my eating pattern as I've found this week!!!
The few concerns that I have to sort out are these:
(1) HAVING ENOUGH TO PAY THE BILLS AT THE END OF THE MONTH
Most of my direct debits come out between the 20th of the month up until and including the 1st of the month.
I have a few in the following few weeks but not many.
I cannot write a budget as I don't know what is coming in each day and what is going to go out ie petrol, car repairs, tyres etc....
I obviously know what is going out on fixed bills...what christmas, birthdays etc cost.
What I usually do is pay as much as possible off the credit cards in the two weeks that I don't have many DDs....
Hypno suggested that I have a date that I pay any extra off the CCs after all bills have gone out but I can't seem to see a point where I can do that as I'm S/E so don't have a salary date.
It's really doing my head in trying to come up with solutions to that problem!!!!
The next problem is that the final week of the month is the worst on the cab anyway as people are waiting to get paid and so a lot pay of customers payme with cards which take approximately 10 days to reach my bank account.
The only solution I can see is to pay no overpayments for a whole month (bar DHs pension and DDs board will explain that in a mo)and see what comes in and what goes out and what is left.
Then try to draw a budget from that...it is only rough figures as the next month could be worse or better!!!!
The next problem is I have no money yet put away for tax,car expenses, car insurance..all these are due between July and september..so I have opened a savings account for those this morning ..one in my name and one in DHS name..so need to start putting money in there.
Sorry to have rambled if anyone can help me with budgetting ideas ..please do.
As for DDS board and DHs pension..I used to save those towards our holiday so whilst not having an holiday it is very important that it goes off debt rather than mingled into the normal household budget..so that is £300 per month.
I have also kept up with the £500 halifax reg saver as that is really important in the grand scheme of things...as that £6500 will be paying 2 loans off and leave a chunk to pay off a CC come Oct 14th.....this will free up £900 per month then which will certainly clear the rest of the debt much quicker.0 -
Def agree the one month trail as no extra payments, give you a rough idea of whats what, another thought can you get the date of the dds changes, as some companies esp cards will do a swop once without any charge as long as you've kept payments, (which we know you have gone way over the minimum on), I had to change mine as they originally came out 21st month, use to get paid by BK on the 20th, and only last year got round to changing the dates to the end of the month, as my money dribbles in as bits and dabs made worst now as IS gets paid 2weekly.
Hiope you have a nice day off, and a good night tonight xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I will be cancelling Sky shortly as my 12 month contract will be up on 1st july so can give notice on 1st May.
I've looked at all my DDs to see if anything else is unavoidable and the only other two that can possibly go is our mobile phone contracts ..one is £20 per month and one £25 per month ..one ends dec one ends june...so can go PAYG then and that's all that can be trimmed.
I pay all insurances in full and shop around for those,...so nothing to be saved there.
Have checked my gas/electric and the only way I can save there is using less which I'm doing.
I pay for my WW monthly which is cheaper than paying weekly.
Groceries never amount to more than £200 per month for 3 of us and a dog..dog food is £45 of that.
We don't smoke or drink.
Don't get me wrong....we earn half decnt money and spend very little and really concentrate on debt and know we are in a lot better position than a lot of other people as we can meet every payment....my main problem is trying to make a budget that work so that I cover everything.
Once the CC debt and 2 loans have gone everything will be so much easier as all spare money will be in the offset and I can get at it really easy...so not much juggling to do then...0 -
Thanks Mum 2 one...it's the only idea I can come up with at the moment.I'm alright about the dates with stuff. The CCs and loans all come out between the 20th and 1st of the month anyway.
The DDs between the 1st and 19th are only small ones NI x2,WWx2(ds gives me the money as soon as it's out of my bank),CC machine and an overpayment back to tax credits....less than £150...so not bad.0
