I guess I now need to think of the plans and goals for the year.
    (1) Give up smoking for good
(2)Lose as much as possible ...I need to lose about 9 stones...will join S/W thursday.
    (3) Do some exercise..need to start gently so will start with walking.

Those are goals for me and my health.

    Financial goals...
    (1) Work as hard as possible..so I can pay more off the debts.
    (2) Do surveys as and when they come up
    (3)Shop as frugally as possibble
    (4) have no waste

    That's about it for now.

Hi Lucielle..yes I'm giving up tomorrow..haven't got around to Shauns thread yet.
Set those goals as they are doable with a bit of effort and should show results if I keep to them.

Good luck with giving up smoking and with the weight loss - you seem to have the money bits under control so I don't think you need any extra luck for those! :D

Thanks Dragon...you are right there..lol...giving up smoking and weight loss are my hardest challenges but I really need to do it this year especially with the new medicals coming in.
  • Sorry to hear you have been poorly.

I like your goals and you and Shaun can definately support each other with the no smoking one.

Way to go with the debts as well that is a fantastic amount to clear off. Well done.:)

Evening all...it's been really cold here today....brrrrrrrr!!!!
Not been up to much.I dropped the family to the bus station and they are on their way back to Glasgow.Am missing them already.
had to go to the garage as the coolant light was showing...that turned out to be a split pipe so is now fixed and refilled...luckily no cost as under warranty.
Tomorrow the car is in the garage to have the gears looked at (again under warranty)...nothing major but they are quite stiff.
Have ordered the two books DH is after for his birthday and both were loads cheaper than expected and free super saver delivery from Amazon...so very bargainous only £26 for the two against ...£50+ in the shops.
On the MSE front today I've paid £80 off Halifax CC and £419.62 capital has come off my mortgage.

This now brings my 20k challenge to.....£4954.44/£20000

I will be paying more off the CC tomorrow as well and am pleased so far this year.
I now owe less than £75k in total to debt and mortgage!!!!
