hi there i have recently looked into puttin a model railway into the loft of my house but have ran into a problem that at this time of year the heat up there is unbearable and you cannot be up there for more than 5/10 minutes, is there anyway i can stop this and birng the temperatures, someone said lining the inside of the roof with board will insulate it enough to keep the heat out?! replies appreciated.

I've used that silver foil-lined bubble wrap stuff in my loft, just stapled to the rafters (I only use it for storage). It improves the temperature quite a bit, but it does still get pretty hot up there on a sunny day.0
