No water pressure just in bath taps

Having just moved into my first house that I own I've found that when the hot tap is run in the bath the combi boiler doesn't fire. However, when the hot tap in the sink is run the bolier fires. In order to get a hot shower I have to run the sink hot tap at the same time. The water from the bath tap is little more than a dribble. I did have the system drained down to have new raidiators fitted and wonder if this may have caused a problem. Any ideas/help greatfully received.

I had this happen with my kitchen taps when bathroom ones were fine, I just replaced the taps and they have been fine since then.0

No I doubt it.minimad1978 wrote: »I did have the system drained down to have new raidiators fitted and wonder if this may have caused a problem.
The flow from the bath tap/shower is so slow the boiler will not respond.
Are the bath taps connected with flexible hoses? is so have they been kinked?
You could try cleaning the shower head.0 -
As has been said, there's not enough flow.
I had something very similar and the inner tap needed replacing as it had just aged. New ones are only a few quid, but turn off the stop !!!! before you undo the tap to remove and replace the inners.0 -

Yep...tap insert is stuck I'd say. Take insert out and take it down to a plumbers merchant...not B&Q. They 'may' then be able to match one up for you. Or if you can dismantle the valve...it'll prob be the top 'O' ring thats causing the prob...replace it.0
