Gas grants for OAP's

Hi folks,
Wonder if anyone can help me because I'm blowed if I can find any info.

My in-laws have coal fired central heating at the moment. They also have another relative living with them...all are in their 70's...f-i-law will be 80 this year. No-one receives any benefits in the household.

They are in the early stages of changing to gas instead and I'm trying to find out if there are any grants available to them. WARMFRONT say no, local council says no, but the various people who've been to give quotes for installing are all saying there are grants available???? (or are they under the illusion that all OAP's must be receiving benefits).

Anyone got any advice for me? Have to leave computer but will check later. Thanks
