The not supporting Linux is rubbish.
Have you a wireless router? That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
If you are trying a wireless connection then reading the link below it will not work as you need to connect with an ethernet connection with VM.

It is possible to connect Linux wirelessly, however it can be a little tricky. Ethernet should be as simple as plug in and go.
I've just had a look and see that the Asus 701SD is an Eee PC, a quick Google search suggests this might be of use:

This should talk you through connecting to a wireless network and making the laptop connect automatically every time you turn it on.0 -
Thanyou for the replies.
Have given thanks to you all.
I was trying with a ethernet cable and not wireless but was hoping to use it as a wireless connection later..
Will get my kids into bed and will try again..♥♥♥Life is too short to wake up with regrets ♥ So love the people who treat you right. ♥ Forget about the one’s who don’t ♥ Believe everything happens for a reason ♥ If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands ♥ If it changes your life, let it ♥ Nobody said life would be easy, they just promise it would be worth it ♥0
