Just a quick post as it relates to driving experience days. I was wondering if anyone who had done a driving experience day fancied doing a write up of it for my website and I'll sort you a free gift as a thank you :)

Drop us a PM if you fancy it.

    ... anyone recommend a company ...

You could check out FindExperienceDays.com/driving.htm for price comparison tables listing driving experience days and track days from major UK suppliers.

For best prices also have a look at the FindExperienceDays.com/discount.htm page. There's a couple of heavily discounted offers there at the moment.

(Yes I am associated with this website but since I am answering the OPs's question and refrained from making these into links then hopefully this is ok).
  • Done two so far this year, one at Thruxton in the Vauxhall VXR's and one today in my own car at Castle Combe at the Audi internatinal day and it is awesome. If you are a proper petrol head then there's nothing better!

I can seriously recommend doing an academy day before a track day. You learn loads about your and your cars ability in a safer environment, and they are great fun (have seen everything there from ford fiestas to brand new 911's).

  • My son had a full day at Silverstone, especially catering for corporate entertainment but when singles go they team the singles, it worked out great fun and he was totally exhausted after.

These days are not to be confused with the few minutes drive time that occurs at the budget end of the market, the cost of his day was around £600+, but his whole day was full of driving...Lotus's, Ferrari's, Porsches, various others, off road, and single seaters, speed unrestricted.

Sounds expensive, but in this as with most things you get what you pay for.
