hiya i was thinking of buying a dress from america....it is $68.00, is there an exact guide to how much custom tax i will be charged as all the guides i can find say i MIGHT be charged a certain amount and i need to know a correct figure incase its loads when they try to deliver!!

No one can give an exact amount as there are too many variables.
You may be lucky and it slips through so you get it with no charges at all. You should be charged a few per cent duty (this varies with item and source but not usually very much), VAT at 15 per cent on the cost + shipping cost and a customs clearance fee of anything between 8 and 15 pounds depending on who it comes with.
Work out if it is worthwhile if you get charged the highest amounts. If you are charged less treat it as a bonus.0
