According to Dell's invoice, it looks like I have one 512mb non-ECC 333mhz DDR fitted, so I am thinking of getting another 512mb for other slot.
Does anyone know if this is proprietary or will generic PC2700 DDR fit?

Generic memory will be ok - I would tend to use crucial - usually resonably priced and comes with free delivery. They will match the RAM to your machine also :-D0
