Best credit card?

in Credit cards
Hi all,
Can anyone give me an idea of the best credit card to go for? I've had a good look through the different threads but can't really find the answer.
I am soon to go abroad on holiday and, although I normally despise the idea of having a credit card, taking one is probably a good idea. As soon as I return I'll probably put it in a draw and forget about it.
Help anyone?

For spending abroad Nationwide CC is the best. However, if you don't need and don't want to borrow money, it is better and simpler to open a current account with them. Their debit card is the best for both spending and drawing cash abroad. See Spending Overseas: Cut the cost by over 6% article ...0

For borrowing and cashback, I would take a look at Egg Money. You can get a APR of 6.9% and 1% cashback. You can also earn 4% on credit balances, which isn't too bad ;-)0
