whats this ESTA fee/process for? i am travelling to the USA

Does anyone know if i get a print out or some kind of notification i have passed etc?0

It will tell you at then end if you have been approved or not. It's advisable to print this off and they don't email it to you and you may need the number if you travel again and need to change the details.0

how long before i am travelling do i need to do this? i am thinking is there a delay before their systems show i am ok? is there a advisable timescale i should do this>0

Do it as soon as possible - then, if there is a problem, you have time to apply for a visa.0
