Creases in leather

Can anyone suggest how to remove creases in a new leather jacket. It had been folded in its box, and the collar now has two creases which won't lie flat. I've tried putting weights on the collar to press it out, but that didn't work. Any other suggestions?

try this...............................
Ironing
If necessary, it is possible to iron out creases from Suede/Leather. For best results ensure the iron is set on the ‘medium’ setting. Place a clean fine weave cloth over the area to be ironed and gently apply pressure with the iron to smooth out creases.
Note
It is important that the iron does not make direct contact with the Suede/Leather.0 -
I think ironing sounds much too scary.
I got one crease out of a leather collar by sitting gently folding it, using the warmth of my hand, while watching 2 episodes of the West Wing. (hour and a half-ish, or 3 glasses of wine, depending on your preferred unit of measurement).
It worked, but although it too was the result of being folded in a box, it wasn't too bad before I started folding it back.
Or contact the supplier?0
