I wonder what the Asda I used to work in is like now. I used to work on the checkouts and had no problem with redeeming vouchers. The only ones I ever refused were out of date ones and Tesco Clubcard vouchers!

When I was there we did have the 10% rule, but only if the coupons you redeemed were on things you didn't actually purchase. If you bought 1 item you had a coupon for you could still use it for that one item, even if it was 50% off.

I even used vouchers on occasion, I used to get them in a TV mag, they were worth more than the magazine cost lol.

I think one of the main reasons stores have stopped accepting vouchers for things the person didn't actually buy is because people would often take the mick.

I worked at ASDA and very regularly had people trying to get £10-£15 off using vouchers for a £20 shop when they hadn't bought any of the products.
We were told they were allowed 10% and I'd often be generous and give about 15% and then get moaned at.

I even had someone trying to pay for their entire shopping in vouchers for things they hadn't bought and expecting change!

People ruin things for everyone else by thinking they're entitled!
