I work for the Stop Smoking Service which is currently having a huge infulx of cash from the government to get people to stop. I dont think thats a service that they will get rid of.0 -

But that includes holidaying in Las Vegas, having the full sky and broadband package paying for my car, having a season ticket to the Rugby and going out every week with my friends. If it came to it and I only had the 1 job then I would cut down on all my luxuries and I would still be able to manage.
Yes I could have saved a deposit over the last few years and not had the luxuries but I didnt, and I saw a house I liked and wanted and took out a loan for the deposit rather than waiting. No one seemed to have a problem with it and I have sufficient money to live comfortably so whats the big deal.
It's people like you who are partially to blame for this bubble as not only couldn't you buy a house without committing fraud you can't even live decently and pay its mortgage with 1 salary. :rolleyes:0 -
Lenders like to know how the individual arrived at thier deposit. If a borrower stated that they were not using the loan as a deposit and subsequently did, this would be a fraud."An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".
!!!!!! is all that about?0 -
is it still "Fraud" if the lender let it happen?0

Never thought that lining Murdochs' and the Gambling's sydicates pockets was something to brag about? Cut down on the Sky and gambling...then you'll be able to lead a normal life that doesn't involve mortgage fraud.
Just because I go on holiday to Las Vegas doesnt mean I gamble. I actually have no clue how it all works, I go for the atmosphere, the people and the views.
I also told the mortgage company where my deposit came from. I applied for both on the same day. How is that Mortgage fraud?
Think you need to stop making assumptions about people.0 -

I have not commited fraud. I told the mortgage company that I would be applying for a loan to cover the deposit, they didnt say that would be a problem.
Why does it matter how many salaries I have, as long as I can pay what needs to be paid and live to the standard I like. Think you need to get off your high horse and go and critisize the people that wont work and are using yours and my taxes to fund their luxury lifestyles.0 -

Yes, the Government are currently funding PCT’s commissioning services/illness prevention drive. There are now loads of jobs in pregnancy education, stopping smoking, weight loss advisors, etc.. However, it will be the first area to be cut. Following the Darza report, it’s the current Government’s ‘big idea’.
When the axe falls on NHS spending, what areas are the government going to cut? Will it be doctors and nurses? Will they allow NHS waiting lists to soar and patients to sit in corridors due to lack of beds? I think not. They will cut all non essential services first: smoking cessation, drug prevention, 5-a-day advisors, HR managers, equality managers, etc … When these jobs go no one (i.e. the press) will notice
Labour will cut back on these jobs. If the conservatives get it, they will get rid of the lot of them.I am an employment solicitor. However, my views should not be taken to be legal advice. It's difficult to give correct opinion based on the information given by posters.0
