Cheap overnight at Gatwick?

Travelling to the US from Gatwick (South Terminal) in June and was looking for a cheap airport hotel overnight. Hate the thought of paying £100 when we'll be leaving early in the morning but prefer that than getting up even earlier to get to the airport on time. Anyone have any discount info?

The Gatwick Travelodge is worth looking at - its only a few minutes away from the airport (but has double glazing!).

They have rooms available in June for £26 - not all dates are available, but there are still a good number of nights available at that price.

We're going to Canada at the end of May and I got a £10 room at Heathrow Travelodge even though we're flying from Gatwick as we have the car anyway. Worth a try as it's not far away

You dont say were you are travelling from. I advise friends who are going to Gatwick from the Hertfordshire are to go via Luton as there is a direct train service that runs about 22hrs/day and they find it preferable to a hotel and the hassle of driving to Gatwick.
