Just a question really....
I'm with EDF for Gas and Electricity - both seem extraordinarily high so here's the breakdown for both, if you could offer some advice I'd be extremely grateful - they are both eating away at the money I'm trying so hard to save to pay toward my debt...
Gas
26 Feb - 11 March £ 158.64
11 Mar - 7 Jul £81.94
Electricity
26 Feb - 23 Apr £168.00
23 Apr - 27 Jul £166.36
Admittedly, I run a pond (with koi) and 4 fish tanks 24/7 but all are on a timer switch and on for only 3 hours/day apart from the pond which is on constantly.
I've just submitted meter readings for gas and electric because all bills so far have been estimated bills (due to the fact that i'm stupid and couldn't read the bloody dials on the meters - won't go into why except all I'll say is... shoulda gone to specsavers!)
My boiler is on a timer and is only on from 6am - 8am and then again from 9pm - 10pm.
I do use a dishwasher and washing machine about 4 times a week and a tumble dryer only to fluff up the clothes which have air dried!
I'm just not sure what to do really... I inherited this house from my MIL after she passed away in January and I know she couldn't have paid this sort of amounts becuase she was on Disability Benefit. I've not changed a thing with the timers or the way we wash clothes/dishes since we moved in... just really need some advice.
Thanks for listening!
