Installing a dishwasher?

After a few years of coping with OH badly washing up, and having to redo it, we have finally decided to get a dishwasher :j (will just have to argue over who puts the plates in/away )
The spot it will go in is on an outside wall, there is a drain outside (downpipe from guttering empties into it) probably a metre or 2 away, there is no pipes there atm, but its on the same wall as the bathroom and boiler so should be easy enough to get a plumber to stick a cold water supply in?
The washing machine and sink wastes go into a sealed drain, but there is a doorway between where DW could go and that, and a concrete floor underneath so dont think thats possible?
Is it a simple enough job once the pipework is in place? Do you think the pipes will be easy enough to lay? REALLY want to be able to get a dishwasher lol

If the DW is next to the sink, just plumb into the existing cold supply and sink waste, you can get fittings from any DIY store to tap into the pipes.0

The dishwasher will be on a wall at right angles to the sink & washing machine, with a doorway between them, sorry if post didnt make that clear, but thats why I wanted to know how easy it would be to get fitted on the wall with no water or waste0

In that case if you are not up to doing it yourself you need to get an estimate from a plumber before purchasing the DW.0

I am pretty sure the downpipe goes into the main drain (manhole right beside it)
I dont think putting pipe in the concrete floor is really an option-it would be a good 3m to get there, so was hoping could drill straight out the wall for waste to be run into the drain (drain is on corner of kitchen extension-there is a tumble dryer in that corner of kitchen and DW would go beside that-so about 1m from the drain) The boiler is about a metre away so presume there is a cold supply there that could be use to supply DW?0 -
Yeah its a combi. TBH probably won't DIY it, but just wanted to know if it would be possible

Thank you very much-yay looks like am getting a dishwasher

I really don't want to rain on your parade but the manhole doesn't mean much. You need to test it first as andrew says. Manhole covers are fairly weighty so be careful.

All members of our household are experts in stacking a dishwasher, it is getting someone to empty it is the problem.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -

We have lifted it before and you can see the drain meeting it, but will check before we do anything else
And Ariba I know what you mean re emptying it, am hoping OH will do it! but as will mean clean dishes no longer on display-out of sight out of mind IYKWIM, it may not happen!0 -
Just a thought and the plumbing would be the same but would it not makje more sense to have the washing machine in that area next to the tumble dryer and put your dishwasher in the kitchen where the washing machine is now?? As i said just a thought but you would then have a designated laundry area :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Yeah I thought of that, but the tumble dryer is beside where used to be integrated fridge and freezer, and now is an undercounter freezer, so the gap for the slimline would work better there, than under the sink where WM is, which is enclosed in a unit-so 150mm gap would look weirder there?0
