they are correct because if you can make and recieve calls then there service is fine the phone is provided by rim and any problems regararding that should be done through them

Not quite, you should go to the supplier of the phone.

But with regards to the contract, they are right to insist on it being bought out - too many folk are on the scam which puts prices up for genuine folk.

If the phone is genuinely not working, then assuming it is nothing you have done, insist on a replacement, rather than trying to come out of the contract - it seems you are looking for an excuse to get out of it, then sell the phone (which if it can make and recieve calls you would get a decent price for) and get a new one.

yeah your right, is their anything you can do to get out of the contract earlier if i wait? i can make calls with the phone, but all the extras that would help me with my job are so slow that i just end up using it for the occassional call and text mesage and pay £40 a month, its just a drain at the moment

totally my fault i agree :(

I have no wish to sell the phone, i just can't afford the £40 per month for what it gives me, i was sold the Blackberry storm on the belive that it would handle all the social media apps that i needed. As i work in the industry so need to have most apps running all the time, might sound flaky but its true.

I now need to carry a small laptop with me, as the Blackberry can't handle it in conferences etc.

I would love the phone if i could get Twitterberry working and get the apps all running smoothly, but it shuts down, switches off, hangs. Says its full with only 12 photo's etc.

sorry.. complaining (People in the stores just think i'm being daft needing twitter/ facebook and ping.fm for work) but i do.

anyhooo.. sorry for the rant, delete it if you think its a stupid question

I have to agree its a terrible phone but I only paid £22 a month for mine on a 12 month contarct after lots of haggling

Im just going backt o my old nokia as thye BB is rubbish.
Ive got unlimited internet but it wont work in most areas.
Internet browsing just wont work correctly and most pages can't be accessed at all.
Many of the apps wont work too.
The battery life is appaling & the unit is on charge usually twice a day.
It also gets very hot when making calls.

This is my second one as they insisited the 1st was faulty, but its just the same.

I too have bought a laptop to handle all this stuff.

Hope you get sorted but Vodaphone really need some nagging sometimes to srt out issues

thanks for saying that, i thought i was going crazy. So many people saying how bloody great the Storm is. Poor you, and welldone for getting a low monthly rate. I had it out with the guys in the shop who said that i should call Customer service?? who had just told me to go to the shop. All i wanted is to change the model because it isnt right for what i need it for and i was miss sold, but no... so i bought in iphone. still stuck paying £40 a month on a phone i wont be using.. but well thats my stupid fault for trusting the sales guy i guess. carphone warehouse were really nice and i got a brand new 32G iphone 3GS .. white back.. amasing.. so sod Vodaphone.. :)
