Not sure if this is the right place to post but looking to rent a 4 bed furnished property around Basingstoke/Kingsclere area from mid/end June. Have contacted main estate agents but most properties are unfurnished. Anyone suggest any alternatives I might contact other than estate agents?

Loot might not be a bad bet...?
HAve you tried Rightmove, they have a rented section?
You could always ask the LL if they would furnish for you, some will some wont, worth a try... Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
How about getting copies of the local papers? They usually have a section on properties to let, which will probably include properties not let via agencies. Definitely worth a try....

As we currently live 200 miles away. anyone know the name of the local papers? Will see if I can get access to it online?0

Is Loot a national paper or local? Have seen it in local newsagents but don't know if this has nationwide properties in or would I need to buy it local to Basingstoke?0

Re local papers: found the following info by doing a Google search:
Basingstoke: Media
There are two local newspapers: the Basingstoke Gazette and the Basingstoke Observer, and the town is also covered by the Hampshire Chronicle.
Web links for Gazette:

Kingsclere is also close to Newbury, so it might be worth looking at the Newbury Weekly News as well, link below:

Hope this might be of some help....

If I remember rightly from MIL coffee table, the Observer is the freeby paper and the Gazette is the one you pay for each week.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
