  • would definitely also speak to a cs manager in the store and ask why the staff arent trained to fill in a ' customer vehicle damage report'. afaik it is sent directly to head office and then their insurance deals with it.
although my friend is a member of staff and same happened to her and they didnt want to know

In the OP's original case,- If the trolley rolled 'down' a slope into the car, have Tesco's been asking people to deposit their trolleys at the 'top' of a slope? I've no doubt you can't really comment without actually seeing for yourself but I would have thought the planning and siting of any such trolley park requires the consideration of avoiding incidents like this.
Well no, they asked them to deposit them in the identified trolley parks. If there's a slope, there's a slope - maybe mother nature should be sued for gravity? ;) Seriously, if it was a windy day, Tesco wouldn't be responsible because they didn't build 20ft high wind-blocks. There's only so much they can reasonably be expected to do.

So, they have signs up saying "cars left at customers risk", but,,,,,, they have "Customer's Car Damaged" forms - Hmmmmm?????
Probably for damage caused by their staff pushing trolleys into them, and other things there's a risk they may be responsible for (e.g. if a loose sign was blown down onto a car, if there was broken glass they hadn't cleared away,...).

You mean the sign that says "We are not resposible etc." - Now that would be funny !
