I dont think I have Microsoft Office although I have a tab for Microsoft Office Tools - this PC was given to me by a relative who got a newer one. I did used to have MS Office on because I used it it but its gone and I dont have a clue how I can only assume I must have deleted it. I downloaded OpenOfficeOrg 2 which was a free download similar to MS Word and recommended by someone on this site. thx.
Edit. Have read the message re errors and I have to put drivers=mmsytem.dll at the end of the system.ini.file using notepaid - How do I access this please0 -

It might be a bit drastic but have you thought about formatting the hard disk and reinstalling windows, especially if it's a second hand pc as you really don't know what's already on there.
If you can afford it and the pc's fairly new I'd recommend getting a cheap copy of XP and starting you're computer from scratch.0 -
too drastic...old pc, not worth XP upgradeEx forum ambassador
