Ebay hate suggestions.

I posted on one of Ebay's forums in reply to another poster. Below is Ebay's response

'Dear =======,

It has recently come to our attention that one of your posts on our Community

May be the best way forward is to follow Ebid's example. Both parties
can, right from the end of sale, leave Pos, Neutral or Negative FB,
and without the ridiculous 80 character limit.

Oh, and whilst I'm delivering constructive criticism, how about
limiting fvf to 3% max., and allowing the use of other payment
services (I'm pretty sure Ebay are in breach of EU competition law by
limiting our choice to just 'Paypal'). Ebid own PPPay, but still allow
payment via Paypal, Nochex & google checkout, so why don't Ebay do the same?

We have removed this post because the following is not allowed on our boards:

Including profanity, vulgarity, hate speech, disruptive, or hostile comments,

ebay will not let you say aword against them or their beloved paypal.
  • The horrible truth is that you mentoned Ebid which is what most likely got your post pulled. I innocently mentioned Amazon in one of mine and it got pulled and received a message along the same lines. No, you are not allowed to voice your own opinion on ebay, they'll find an excuse to pull it. :(

Accussing them of breaking EU law is why it was pulled. You can pay via Nochex on ebay I have seen sellers offering it. Its just no buyers use it

    From NOCHEX
Nochex on Ebay: You can also use Nochex to accept payments for your Ebay auction listing

ebay spend a lot of time and money in marketing to brainwash the sheep that believe ebay when they tell them paypal is the safest way to pay (it's not) they also won't want rival sites such as ebid mentioned on their forums, especially when your highlighting the cheaper fees,

but basically it's ebay's forum, say bad things about ebay expect to get the post pulled.
  • its why i love this site because we can say how we feel! More people on ebay than you realise read this site though so don't worry too much.

I don't like ebay rules but there are a number of sites who will NOT allow you to mention their competitors names on them and the penalty is often being banned from their forums or having your threads deleted at the very least
  • Always amuses me how people get a bee in their bonnet about forums removing posts that are anti forum owner.

To put it into real world terms, what you did was put up a flyer for the biggest competitor in the window of a company.

What ebay did was take down the flyer, stick it in the bin and politely ask you to not do it again. That seems reasonable to me.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p
