Warning: BT Privacy At Home, and switching from 12 month to 1 month problems

I'm willing to bet that there's an identical thread to what I'm about to post already on the forum.
I'm on BT's 12 month Free Evenings and Weekends plan - although a few days previously I phoned up to switch to the 1 month Free Weekends contract, more on that later.
I got my bill today. There was a £7.50 charge for Caller Display, which should be included in my BT Privacy at home. As we all know, "6 chargeable or inclusive calls if you're billed quarterly". Or not, as the site now says 6 chargeable calls. Or not, as if you click Terms & Conditions on that page and then Full Terms & Conditions, it says chargeable or inclusive. :eek: Short story though. Phoned up BT, got through to a woman who said chargeable, told her the website said otherwise, spent 10 minutes on hold where she then agreed with me (was she looking at the website?). £7.50 charge will supposedly be taken off my next bill.
Now about my 12 month contract ending. I called up a few days back and asked to be taken down to the 1 month rolling contract when the 12 months ended. I've now looked at my bill, and here's the breakdown.
£-0.50 Refund for the Evening & Weekend line rental
£0.40 for Weekend line rental
£0.24 Cancellation charges for cancelling early.
So basically despite me informing them I wanted to switch at the end of my 12 months, they downgraded me instantly and charged me for it. If I was actually at my flat and had accidentally made some evening calls that were not inclusive, I would be :mad: right now. However it is only £0.14, so I am not going to phone up about this, but if BT customer representative pops along, I would like to resolve this via PM. For everyone else, be careful with these two things.
