invatation letter?

I am on benefits i was told that you can get a referal letter from the job center to open a bank account. Because i have no bills i am living with my parents i cant produce any utility bills too open a bank account with.

Could i get a letter from the job center that will invite me to open a bank account at the bank? If so what else would i need in order to open a basic bank account to put my benefits in?.

Its just the rent allowance people want to pay directly in to a bank they give me a few weeks to give them bank details so iv got too try some how and open a bank account to have the money paid in too it for my rent allowance and income support too.

A basic letter addressed to yourself showing that you are being paid benefits and some other forms of id should be enough to open a basic bank account. As far as I know the only invite letter which a job centre could send would be if you wanted to open a Post Office Card Account.

same as above, your income support letter and rent allowance letter plus birth cert if under 18 i belive or driving licence, id cards depending on your age.
just about anything you have with your name, address or sig on it.
take it all in and they should sort you out.

Passport - photo driving license - possibly a student ID. Most banks want photographic identity proof u are who u say u are and proof that you live where you say you live - therefore a letter from the DWP etc addressed to you at your address would be a good one to use - catalogue statement poss- anything "official". Thats really all they need - birth certificate is a good thing to take as well if u happen to have it to hand.
