Can you have drawers under a inset electric hob?

The title says it all really, would it be safe or would the contents get too hot?

should say something about that in the instructions if you have them.
my hob is gas but suggested a heat shield of some sort, however it doesn't get hot in the draw,.
i wouldn't put fireworks in there though;)

Pan drawer units are shown under hobs. I have one under my gas hob, no heat shield or anything was mentioned and it doesn't get hot. As Bocster says, check the instructions that come with the hob.0

I keep my cutlery etc in the drawer directly under my electric hob. No issues at all.Herman - MP for all!

In ours we keep the pyrex dishes!! can't see a problem0
