My family spends about £500 on groceries each month. Thats for two adults and a baby. This includes everything (food, baby food, nappies, deodorant etc etc).

How much do you guys spend in total?

Also, is it me or is Tesco a bit expensive. I look at our weekly shopping and think "thats not that much... and we paid how much?!!?"
I only use my debit card when shopping in tesco's so I can check my bank to see how much I am spending on food each month.

For two of us we spend around £240 a month and we eat quit a lot! the most we spent a month was at Christmas and that was £420 (Alchohol was the main factor) for the month December. £500 is double what we spend. My sister with a family of 4 spends about £300 a month in Tesco...

This is what we do as well.

Dh gives me the money from his "pocket money" for his beer and I get it in with the grocery shopping, sometimes is only way I would get over certain barrier amounts to qualify for other offers suchas money off petrol etc.

Same here - Tesco sent several conditional spend vouchers on a £40 shop last quarter, which I spent. This month they have increased it to a £60 conditional spend  so I am going to double up £10 of points to £20 on wine and then only need to spend £40 on groceries of which I will get £9 off with the voucher! :T
