british gas fixed dec 2009 deal madness
we used to be with n power for both gas and electric and we were called by a british gas rep that told us that they could beat the price we was paying.
we moved from n power and we are now paying slightly less on a fixed price dec 2009 deal with £37 for gas and £26 for electricity , but each time we recieve our quarterly statement the amount that we are in debit is getting higher and higher.
after having turned off for the past 2 months or so we are in debit £149.45 gas and £192.16 for electric , we have cut down a lot on electricity usage and are quite concerned as to how it can build up like this, we would like to hear from anyone on the same tarrif and see what there thoughts are , thanks

Unlikely to be anything to do with the prices of the tariffs - quarterly payment is cheaper with British Gas and monthly direct debit tariffs are similar in price.
£37 per month very unlikely to be enough to have covered last winter's heating. Look at your actual consumption - seems to be a catch up to pay for what you have actually used.
Part of being a householder is to look at your meters and check how much you are using.
