Why do people in Northern ireland always complain about the weather..... It's always been like this........ do they expect to wake up one morning and find that we've dramatically shifted to the Med. or just of the coast of Sydney.... It Rains in Ireland... thats why it's so nice and green (I'm talking about the landscape here not the people:rotfl: :rotfl:)
Do as Peppa Pig would.... stick on your wellies and go out and jump in Muddy Puddles..... Great fun... :j :j
You just have to learn to live with it..... it's just water... it'll do you no harm...0 -

Ah, but I can put up with a certain amount of rain most of the year if I know that summer will be half decent. We used to have good summers, but the last few have been unremittingly miserable. People are a little fed up and I for one can't blame them. We need a certain amount of sunshine (and warmth!) to feel happy, and we have had such bad summers the last few years that it just feels like a 12-month winter TBH.
Anyway! Until I emigrate I'll just put on my wellies and jump in puddles with the best of them...Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

If I were to emmigrate anywhere if I had to.. it would be Brisbane - Australia or Christchurch - New Zealand.... two of the nicest places I've stayed.....
Still... no matter where you go you'll find something you don't like... human nature... Norn Ireland will do the best for now..... maybe look at somewhere else when I'm old & wrinkly and the Kids can keep us in the life of luxury....0 -

You could sandwich two sheets together and put fairy lights in the middle. wouldn't that be cool?:rotfl:0 -
As someone more famous than me once said ...its not that the weathers bad, you're just wearing the wrong clothes!! .
I would leave in the morning for anywhere sunny but then i would more than likely grumble that it was too hot. The grass is always greener....
:jIt's a great day for singing a song / It's a great day for moving along / It's a great day for morning to night / It's a great day for everybody's plight.

Spent 3 weeks in Canada last year and it was SO tempting - the quality of life is so much better when you KNOW for certain you are going to get -30 degrees in winter and +30 degrees in summer - you have 2 sets of clothes and swap one for the other when the time comes. You can plan stuff and enjoy the effort you have put in But for us, it seems increasingly to be either -2 degrees or WET. FOr everyone's sanity we really do need a few weeks of warm and happy weather at least once a year to be healthy and glowing. Im not asking or +30 degrees for 8 weeks, but a week of sunshine on the trot would be nice? Please?Feel free to thank me, it makes my toes tingle and my ears go warm :T0

Quit moaning guys!
This summer was alright. We've been out somewhere almost every day. Sure, so we have to pack wellies and raincoats as well as sunscreen and sun hats but it's been sunny at times and the sun has been really hot when it's out. When it rains it tends to be a quick downpour rather than days of mizzly nonsense.
So, either get on the plane and emigrate or get yourself some decent raingear and stay put. To paraphrase what Badabing said, there's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes.Stercus accidit0
