OH has been to a house 3 months after "Selling Houses" (TV programme with Andrew Winter) invaded them.
He said he couldn't believe how awful the "improvements" were...the cosmetics were starting to come apart at the seams as it really was quickly decorated to sell.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

I think clean and tidy are the two most important factors whilst being aware if anything is seriously outdated/wornout etc. If so and you don't want to spend money on it, be upfront and say "this carpet is due to be replaced but we felt it would be better to let new owners have their choice". I bought my current house even though the owners told me there were sometimes problems with local kids. I felt if they were that honest at least i knew what was in store! Have not regretted the decision to buy either so I do think honesty pays. Be patient. A few weeks is actually not that long. Good Luck.0
