How do I transfer when no income?

I'm trying to transfer my current card debt to an 0% balance transfer as my apr has just jumped to 22%.
I have not worked since March 2008 due to very severe depression and am not a mum so am living off income support and some child benefit. Most credit cards seem to have a minimum income requirement of £500 a month- I get £80 a week.
Does anyone know how to get round this? My credit card debt is small but I am trying to get rid of it but am caught in a trap here.
Thanks

Unlikely in your circumstances you'd be accepted for a 0% card. And if you did it would only be a temporary solution - although it might help reduce the interest you're paying.
If your bank provide a card with a 0% balance transfer offer, that might be your best place to start.
If you mean that you have a credit card debt that you can no longer afford to pay then I'd point you towards the Debt-Free Wannabe forum where others in the same situation will be able to give you better advice."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0
