TV volume with DVD player and tuner

Hi folks

Have found I need to increase the TV volume when we use the DVD Player, and also the digital tuner.

Doesn't need it increasing when I use the video player, so why when I use the other two ?

Video players usually add gain to the audio - increases the volume.

Many DVDs use Dolby Digital for audio, this offers more dynamic range, however the volume is lowered slightly.

As for the digital tuner, that could either be down to the box/tv (if in built) or a setting where the volume for the box / that section of the TV is set lower.

Which is why many TVs allow independent volume adjustment on the AV inputs.
