    Nope!!

At our place they don't mind you using the mail-bag - i.e. you can put personal letters in the outgoing if you've put your own stamp on them.

I wouldn't dream of telling you not to do anything - its entirely down to your common sense and integrity.

Personally, I don't have a lot of time for anyone who uses work time and facilities for their personal stuff - but thats only my opinion and I know that many people assume they can take advantage of work stuff for themselves. Some years ago when I was taking on staff I opened an application form which was in a Company envelope and franked with their logo - I didn't even bother reading it! Why should I give a job to somebody who clearly aees their employer as a source of freebies?

Let's hope OP keeps her job long enough to learn office rules.

I'm often so busy I can't take my full lunch hour and go to the Post Office (and no, I don't get paid overtime). I get the mail room clerk to frank my mail, but she tells me how much it costs, I give her the money and it goes into the petty cash. My mail is franked, but it is paid for by me. You should be more careful with your assumptions.

The OP seems to be taking the mickey though - no reasonable employer is going to begrudge you the odd print out or photocopy - but an entire ebook? I'm half wondering if the OP is a troll because that's just not normal behaviour.

To the OP, if you are for real, learn a lesson from this. If you hadn't done something silly, this guy wouldn't have had the opportunity to wind you up.
