Not sure if this is the right place for this post but if any of you remember back in December 2008 we had our back boiler replaced with the above combi.

Just had our first gas bill since installation and compared to the same period last year the new bill is just short of 3000 kwh lower  We don't skimp on heating and as there are 3 adults who shower every day we don't skimp on hot water either
Seems these thingies are very energy efficient

yes modern boilers are very efficient. they are about 95% efficient. which is impressive compared to an old boiler of say 80% (when new!).
to give some comparison a car engine is only about 20/25% energy efficient. most is wasted in heat!Get some gorm.0 -
So you've spent £2760 to save under £90/period [since December half-year?] (gas price 2.9p/kWh from MoneySupermarket, 7th August 2009)0

Yes Adrian - but it was either that or shower in cold water
90 quid in my pocket is better than in theirs - and we are warmer as well
