Stihl Saw Hire? Pavnig slabs needing trimming

Hi
Years ago in my mam's garden we lifted 3 paving slabs from the path to enable us to put a shed on the grass to the side of the path (as it was slightly too wide)
Now mam would like to sell her house, and we would like to put the slabs back where they belong.
But they need about 1-2 inches cut off them so they will fit in the space.
We need to hire a stihl saw.
Does anyone know anywhere in the Northumberland/Newcastle area who hires these out? I have tried googling it but nothing for this area came up?
Also does anyone know how much it would be? The ones I did find online (not for Northumberland) were for £15-£18 for 24 hours
Also can you hire by the hour?
And also would there be any other tool we can use instead of a Stihl Saw?
Thanks

Your best option is a disc cutter, speedy hire or similar will hire one to you. HSS used to do a 20% discount if you returned it the same day. Failing that, you can do it with a DIY angle grinde however this will take time.

the quickest and cheapest way is to take them to a chap who is actually doing slab cutting. get him to cut your slabs and give him a tenner.
ive often asked builders (working locally) to do small one off jobs like this.
ps.
get the wife to ask and they usually do it for free!Get some gorm.0 -

be careful with hiring small cheap tools.
ie you can buy a cheap angle grinder for under a tenner.
ps.
