help and advice - newbie

Hi there - sorry if this is in the wrong area but it does relate to redundancy amongst other things.
I am taking voluntary redundancy - it was that or another job in the company with increased hrs but with a little one that a bit hard. i have quite a good job but with no qulifications so will struggle to find that money elsewhere. i have applied for loads but heard nothing back. i leave on 4th sept. my hubby earns £20 grand basic but prob earn £6 grand in bonuses over the yr. where do i stand with benefits etc i currently get £38 child tax credit a mth. i just don't know where to start looking etc
