hi i may have posted this in the incorrect place but could do with some help what would you do in this situation..
We are having some gas pipes re installed outside my house and about 2 weeks ago they cut through *just mine* my bt line so i was 4 days without an connection until bt could repair it..
Yesterday i went to have a bath and realised i had no hot water, i checked my gas and i wasnt low or anything so i decided to go and ask to gas men outside if they had cut of my gas as no one had let me know.
They said there was a gas leak outside mine as the company had not realised they had cut through the pipes. They are unsure how long it has been leaking in my eyes this is very dangerous as you all will agree
They said to me phone up british gas they will give you some compensation as im going to be 5 days without gas *how do i cook* how do i bath?* all they done was send me a hot plate
I really dont know whether to complain more? what would you do?

Contact British Gas first and see what they say, if you feel like the compensation they offer doesn't compensate you adequately then tell them that.
Remember that you are probably going to be billed for the 'leaked' gas - so make sure your bill for this month is no more than it normally is this time of year.0
