    Hello folks

Spud if am growing buternut squash do I have to do the pollinating thing?

I don't feel well in that kind weak but can still watch crap tv so its not so bad.

BB hope your pain is going xxxx

Hope you feel better soon hun :grouphug:

I think it depends where you're growing your squash. Ours are growing in the conservatory with us being oop north, so no insects available to do the job. Squash have both male and female flowers, and the females dont stay open long, so you have to be ready with a soft paintbrush to transfer the pollen from the males. DH was very attentive to his little squash harem, bless him

Our Sally might know more than me re outdoor squash :o

Joe is desperate to go as well but his age group are booked up for 6 months! We wanted them to be swimming for Florida next year.
