Any corporate credit cards with good rewards ie. air miles?

Hi there

My OH has a company credit card which doesn't attract any rewards. His employer is open to the idea of swapping to a card with rewards and I wondered if we could give them a little nudge in the right direction!

Thanks in advance,

The company I work for signed up with American Express Platinum Business Card last year.

It gives cashback of up to 2% per annum and theres no annual fee unlike other business cards:

They also do a Nectar for Business Card, but it would be more beneficial to have the Platinum card - especially if they were spending over £10,000 pa.

If a retailer doesn't accept Amex, I then put it on my own Tesco credit card, claim the money back and keep the clubcard points for myself :j

Thanks for that. I'm particulary interested in airmiles though but I s'pose we could always get the flights with the cashback! If you pay for something on your own credit card and reclaim it does it go down on your P11d as a reimbursed expense?

My last company used the Amex card:

    A couple of points -

The Amex card is a charge card not a credit card.
The card is in your name, not the company's - you get the bill - and if there is a problem with a charge on the card, it is YOUR problem not the company's !

I refused to use it - if I was going to carry the risk I was going to get all the benefits - I got a cash back card from elsewhere.

A final point, Amex have VERY high commission rates, if you offer an Amex card, the usual response is - "do you have another card ?".

My employer also has an Amex corporate card but we dont get any of the membership rewards or other stuff like that so I use my egg money card instead and get the cashback.

The points mentioned above are also true.

Amex introduced the Platinum card last year. It is a credit card and the bill goes to the company. Look at the link in my previous post.
