Nielsen/Netratings removal

Anyone tried to remove Nielsen/Netratings from their computer? Seems to be a complete waste of time having this as I don't get any of their "Passport to Win" emails now, not that they were much cop anyway.
Their site advises using Add/Remove Programs to remove the software, but this doesn't work.
