Virgin Phone Line

I'm looking at signing up to the Virgin Quidco deal where you get £150 for any cable service.
Silly question, but is Virgin's phone line a cable service?
i.e.- they don't use the existing BT line?
I assume so, but don't want to sign up to anything if it's not valid for the cashback deal, and I currently don't want either Broadband or TV with them.
Thanks.

If you are in their cable area yes they don't use your BT line.
They offer a free TV package with their phone, equivalent to Freeview basically but also lets you have their Pay per View movies and Catch up TV services.

You will not get free TV On Demand (it will be chargeable), but you will get Movies On Demand (chargeable) and the catchup service for watching BBC, ITV and C4 programs you may have missed (free).

Thanks guys.
I already have Sky and use O2 for Broadband, so I currently am only interested in the phone line.
Any idea if Sky can work with Virgin's phone line?0 -

If you go for a phone line on its own I don't think they will let you have the free weekend calls package you will need to subscribe to one their other call packages (£3.45 or £7.95), however take the free TV and I think you will be allowed the free weekend package. Perverse pricing but that is Virgin for you.0 -

Plus you won't get the cashback without taking a triple service, phone, tv and broadband.0 -

Not sure you have to take a triple service. Quidco's wording is as follows:
The £150 cashback is applicable to any Virgin Media package which includes a service provided by cable, i.e. Broadband, Broadband and TV Package, Bundles etc.
I read it as being applicable to one service or more as it says "a service".0 -

Yes, it is just for one service...I signed up for the telephone line with the £65 deal and the cashback did track.0
