Are you factoring the FVF increase into your price comparisons?sunnysea83 wrote: »ive listed loads for free and still got the same price as i would if i started them higher
We'll normally Paypal another quid or so through to the seller if that happens. We bought some stuff the other day, paid £10 p+P. It cost the seller nearly £14 to send, according to the sticker on the front.ChrisCar wrote:I received two parcels yesterday which I won at the sellers minimum bid price ie 99p or under and both sellers took a loss.
We got the item so cheap, we just sent them another £5 to cover their P+P shortfall

How do you know? Did you put two identical items on one at 99p and one at a higher price?0 -

There is a fine line between cynical and forward thinking!!
Besides - a close look at the T&C's/User Agreement as well as some beta projects running around the various international ebay sites all suggest further changes.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
I think the thing is that they aren't trying to compete- a private seller by the very nature of the account is selling personal stuff that they don't want any more, so they have no profit margins to worry about, just making what they can.stevew8975 wrote: »It is still overall cheaper for me as a business seller to list low value items due to reduced insertion fees, and final value fee discounts. How can a private seller compete, even with free insertions?
Ebay will still get them more exposure than other methods, so it is still worth it.
I know when we sell our [STRIKE]old tat[/STRIKE] unwanted items we aim to break even and then money on top is a bonus, because our house is so full that it's a relief to get rid.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.
