Todays Independent is 25p in student unions and comes with a free teach yourself German CD + book and, more importantly, a free bar of Divine white chocolate.
I picked this up in Leeds Union but I think they are doing it in most of them up and down the country.
Hope that helps someone. I am off to eat chocolate and read the paper now ... no um i mean work really hard for the rest of the day
