Selling cakes etc at carboot

When we were last at a carboot I noticed that a few stalls were selling home made cakes etc. We are doing at carboot at the weekend and I was thinking that maybe I could make and sell some muffins and cookies.
I'm assuming that it is ok to sell these at a carboot....

I've seen cakes for sale at carboots and they've always been popular with buyers so I can't think of any reason why you shouldn't be able to sell yours. The people who take the pitch payments will tell you what they don't allow.0

If you're a god baker, bread is also a nice option. A friend of mine did this and made a decent amount of money. Just take care to price products according to the cost of ingredients and labour time otherwise you'll do yourself out of a profit. In fact, work it out prior to baking and only make those with the best margin which you can sell for what seems 'reasonable' to the public. Might be stating the obvious but creations with ingredients like walnuts and decent grade cooking chocolate will wipe out your profits...hence bread/biscuits etc can be a nice cheap product to make.0

You will need to check the rules at your carboot site; this one states:
Any person selling food of any description eg Meats, Cakes, MUST produce valid Insurance & Health & Safety Certificate0 -
