Regardless of what the working conditions were like I am guessing that you would have still had to return home due to the personal issues. You were there for less than a week before you returned home, not really enough time to make many friendships in my opinion.

To me it seems that you leaving and returning home was not just down to the working conditions but other factors played a part as well. Would you still be trying to get your money back if you had enjoyed the work but due to the personal issues at home had to return early and not been able to return?
